Animal Ark Veterinary Hospital in Elkin, NC is seeking a Managing DVM to lead clinical care and help shape the future of the practice. This well-established, three-doctor team offers varied cases and a supportive culture where experienced veterinarians mentor others.

You’ll mentor staff, collaborate with a strong team, maintain high standards of care, and build lasting relationships with clients and the community.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an AVMA accredited institution.
• Active state veterinary license or eligibility.
• DEA/BNDD eligibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment (up to 25 lbs) with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals; diagnose diseases and injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results.
• Advise owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgeries and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide end-of-life counseling for pets.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and policies.
