Qualifications

• Minimum BA/BS from accredited college or university.
• 10+ years of legislative/regulatory, issues management or public policy experience.
• Congressional, Executive Branch, trade association or trade journalism experience is beneficial.
• Existing relationships within the CPG and retail industry political and advocacy space is desirable.
• On-the-record media affairs experience; relationships with industry-focused journalists is preferred.
• Ability to work under deadlines across multiple projects and portray calm.
• Strong strategic thinking, writing, and presentation skills.
• Outstanding work ethic, high-energy, a team-mindset, and strong time and priority management skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert communications, advocacy, positioning and strategic counsel to clients.
• Manage overall quality and delivery of work on multiple accounts.
• Oversee project management efforts on client projects and workstreams, including market research and strategy formation.
• Lead business development and production of client proposals and marketing materials.
• Mentor and develop junior staff and lead account teams on complex client challenges.
