TELUS Digital is seeking a Managing Director, Data, AI & Cloud to lead our Data & AI advisory, AI solutions, Data platforms, and cloud transformation. You will drive growth, profitability, and client value across a global footprint, with P&L responsibility and executive stakeholder engagement.

You will guide strategy, mentor teams of data engineers, data scientists, and AI professionals, and shape our company’s future in data-driven digital transformation across industries.

This role will be based out of one of our major US or Canada office locations: Charlottesville, VA, Durham, NC, Columbus, OH, Boston, MA, Toronto, ON, or Vancouver, BC.

Our Managing Director, Data, AI & Cloud, will lead our Data & AI advisory, AI solutions, Data platforms, and cloud transformation capabilities. You will provide strategic guidance, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver outstanding client value across our global footprint. Responsibilities

Strategy and Leadership

• Collaborate with the executive leadership team to define the company's Data, AI & Cloud vision, strategy, and goals
• Drive growth by identifying emerging trends, market opportunities, and industry best practices
• Lead the planning, development, and execution of the Data, AI & Cloud strategic roadmap

P&L Responsibility

• Assume overall accountability for the financial performance of the Data, AI & Cloud consulting practice
• Partner with Practice Leaders and Business Development to continue to grow managed accounts
• In partnership with Business Development, develop and implement effective revenue generation strategies to meet or exceed annual revenue targets
• Monitor financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary

Team Leadership And Management

• Build and lead high-performing teams, including Data Engineers, Data Scientists, AI Strategists, and AI Engineers
• Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the Data, AI & Cloud teams globally and more broadly through the Practice Advisor team

Client Engagement And Delivery

• Partner with clients to identify their business challenges and design tailored Data, AI & Cloud solutions
• Oversee the delivery of high-quality data-driven insights, models, and strategic recommendations
• Provide thought leadership and build trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders

Competencies

Experience

• 10+ years of relevant leadership and team management experience within a top-tier management consultancy (Partner-level) or global and publicly traded enterprise (VP, SVP, or C-level) with a focus on AI, Data Engineering, Data Science, or Related Fields
• Leads a line of business for a mid-size to large consultancy (i.e., office, industry, etc.)
• Leadership experience in technology consulting, project management, and executive partnerships
• Clear and tested experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing P&L responsibilities

Industry Knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of Data Engineering, Data Science, and AI technologies and tools
• Familiarity with emerging trends, best practices, and advancements in Data, AI & Cloud applications
• Working knowledge of Enterprise Google AI offerings (Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform/Vertex AI, Google AI Studio, etc.)
• Track record of being a dynamic decision-maker and having adaptability in a quickly changing environment
• Deep knowledge of customer experience strategies and digital transformation

• Exceptional leadership and people management skills, inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with strong business acumen
• Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders

Communication And Collaboration

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas effectively to C-level and Executive audiences
• Strong collaborator with the ability to work seamlessly across diverse teams and cultures
• Proficiency in English is required; additional fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus

Compensation Range: $208K - $275K
