Wood Mackenzie is seeking a Managing Consultant for its Americas Power & Renewables Consulting team, based in Boston. This role involves managing strategy consultancy projects across the Power and Renewables sector, requiring strong analytical skills and project management capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in management consulting or energy consultancy, with a strong understanding of the energy transition. The role engages closely with clients and involves some travel throughout the Americas.
The salary ranges from $120,000–$150,000, reflecting base pay only and considering various factors including experience and location.
As a Managing Consultant on the Americas Power & Renewables Consulting team, you will play a key role in our growing consulting practice, with involvement in all aspects of the consulting process, from shaping the opportunity, performing the analysis, managing the project, and working closely with clients and Wood Mackenzie experts to develop insights to support critical strategic and commercial decisions.
Your primary role will be managing commercial and strategy consultancy projects across the Power & Renewables sector in Americas markets. This role requires a high level of creative thinking, analytical and problem‑solving abilities with the ability to apply detailed knowledge and experience in renewable energy and power markets to a broad range of consulting projects and client situations. These capabilities must be accompanied by a strong command of oral and written communication skills in both internal as well as external and client‑facing environments. Additionally, outstanding team and project management capabilities, in a consulting context, are required for the purpose of this role.
The role requires frequent engagement with and work alongside senior client teams and occasional travel throughout the Americas region.
The salary range for this position is $120,000–$150,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short‑term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training. This base salary maps to the Boston Location.
