Base pay range

$65,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Company Overview:

The Short Term Shop helps regular families build second streams of income through investing in Airbnb and vacation rental properties. We specialize in helping investors buy and sell vacation rental properties in 20 of the top vacation rental hot spots in the US. We have consistently ranked in the top 10 teams in the US, and have ranked #1 in production in the world at EXP Realty 3 of the last 4 years. The Short Term Shop provides real estate agent services to investors, as well as comprehensive support, investor training on self-management, and access to a community of like-minded investors. The goal is to enable investors to efficiently manage their properties—often remotely—dedicating minimal daily time while maximizing returns. We run on caffeine and good vibes, so if over-caffeination and dad jokes are not your vibe, this is not the team for you.

Position Summary:

The Managing Broker will oversee and optimize the daily operations of our growing team of real estate agents. This role involves managing internal processes, tracking agent and market performance, recruiting and hiring, and fostering efficiency across multiple teams. The ideal candidate will be a licensed realtor with experience in managing high level teams, be highly organized, process-driven, and capable of ensuring seamless execution across all operational aspects while freeing leadership to focus on lead generation and strategy. Our office is fully remote. Compensation is 1099.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Workflow Management:
    Develop and implement efficient processes for the sales team.
  2. Team Coordination:
    Act as a liaison between agents and leadership, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  3. Conduct biweekly 1:1 check-ins with agents, brainstorming property specific sales ideas and follow-up strategies.
  4. Handle contract-related questions from agents, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with state and brokerage policies.
  5. Escalate complex compliance issues or disputes to the state broker and STS leadership when necessary.
  6. Manage sales quotas and agent specific production performance, and oversee all reporting.
  7. Ensure data accuracy and efficiency in financial and production processes. Must be proficient in working out of a CRM platform.
  8. Oversee the use of compliance software and CRM tools to enhance operational efficiency.

Reporting & Accountability:

  1. Own and publish a state-by-state and agent-level report tracking listings, due diligence periods, pending transactions, expiration dates, days on market (DOM), and price changes to ensure agent accountability.
  2. Client Relations:
    Handle escalated client concerns to ensure a seamless investor experience.
  3. Strategic Planning:
    Develop and implement operational strategies to support company growth and efficiency.
  4. Own the process of recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new agents onto the team.

  7. Likely already works in a real estate operations role for another team but is looking for an opportunity to step into a more strategic, high-impact position. Experience in real estate investing or vacation rentals preferred but not required.
