Job summary

The State of Oklahoma's Garvin County District Attorney's Office is seeking an Assistant District Attorney to join the Pauls Valley office. The role focuses on reviewing law enforcement reports, evaluating cases for prosecutorial merit, researching and drafting motions, and handling all required court appearances including jury trials.

Qualified candidates will have a JD from an accredited law school and active Oklahoma Bar membership, with a minimum of five years of prosecution experience.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active Oklahoma Bar admission in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of prosecution experience.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming law enforcement reports to determine viability of filing charges.
• Evaluate assigned cases for prosecutorial merit and plea negotiations.
• Research and write legal motions.
• Handle all court appearances promptly and professionally.
• Prepare and conduct jury trials.
• Manage office operations with two attorneys and four support staff.
