Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks a Manager, Trauma Program to lead the operational, financial and personnel aspects of the Trauma Program within the organization.

The role reports to the Director of Organ Transplant and Department of Surgery and collaborates across disciplines to ensure strategic alignment and high-quality trauma services. The ideal candidate has a BS in Nursing or allied field, 5+ years in trauma/critical care, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and data systems.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Nursing or other health allied field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Recent clinical experience in critical care, trauma, and/or emergency.
• Proficiency with Word, Power Point, Excel and/or Access.
• Proficient with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.
• Master's degree preferred in Nursing or related Healthcare field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational, financial and personnel aspects of the Trauma Program.
• Collaborate with the Director of Organ Transplant and Department of Surgery to implement quality trauma services across the continuum of care.
• Develop, implement and evaluate systems and programs to improve trauma patient outcomes.

The Manager, Trauma Program reporting to and working collaboratively with the Director of Organ Transplant and Department of Surgery, is responsible for all components related to the operational, financial and personnel aspects of the Trauma Program. This role will also report indirectly to the Chief of the Trauma Department. This position is responsible for development, implementation and evaluation of systems and programs directed towards the provisions of quality services for trauma patients from a multi-disciplinary perspective throughout the continuum of care.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• BS Degree in Nursing or other health allied field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Recent clinical experience in critical care, trauma, and/or emergency.
• Computer proficiency in Word, Power Point, Excel and/or Access.
• Participates in educational activities appropriate to professional goals.
• Maintains current knowledge related to adult and pediatric trauma/critical care, professional practice and research.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Master's Degree in Nursing or related Healthcare field.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course Certification.
