GXO Logistics, Inc. in Fairburn, GA is seeking a Manager, Transportation for a weekend 1st shift (Friday–Sunday, 6:00am–6:00pm).

You will oversee the on-site management of a customer account, ensuring compliance and contractual obligations and serving as the primary contact on new initiatives and critical issues. The role focuses on leading operations, driving profitability, supervising drivers, and coordinating with leadership to improve processes and meet service requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain responsibility for the overall P&L to meet budgets and forecasts.

• Track performance: on-time pickup/delivery, volume, and equipment balance.
• Recruit and retain drivers to meet fleet size goals.
• Identify opportunities to increase performance and implement solutions.
• Investigate service failures and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and modify policies to meet customer service needs.
• Maintain a safe work environment and resolve employee relations issues.
• Direct capital expenditure and asset deployment.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Maintain responsibility for the overall P&L to meet established budgets and forecasts
• Ensure the effectiveness of the operation’s communication, interaction and relationship with company drivers
• Oversee the management of tractor maintenance, compliance and service delivery
• Track operational performance, including on‑time pickup and delivery, volume, equipment balance and empty miles
• Ensure driver recruiting and retention meets established fleet size goals
• Identify opportunities to increase performance, improve processes and find efficiencies, and coordinate with leaders to implement solutions
• Investigate and determine the root cause of all service failures; implement corrective actions whenever necessary
• Develop and modify operational policies and procedures to meet customer service requirements on both new and existing processes
• Maintain a safe work environment and foster a positive team dynamic, resolving employee relations issues and administering corrective action as required
• Ensure annual profit, efficiency and quality goals are attained at each client engagement
• Direct capital expenditure and asset deployment activities

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 4 years of transportation experience
• In‑depth knowledge of the supply chain/logistics industry
• Availability to travel occasionally

It’d be great if you also have:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Project management skills and experience
• Proven leadership and collaboration skills with experience effectively supervising, mentoring and influencing employees
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience as a collaborative, innovative and strategic thinker
• Solid customer relationship management skills

This job requires the ability:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights up to 25 lbs.
• Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
