Hertz Local Edition (HLE) in Ohio is hiring a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in 12–18 months. The role covers Sales & Customer Service, Operations & Fleet Management, and Finance & Administration.

The starting wage is $33,280 per year ($16 per hour). Applicants should have a HS diploma, valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills. Competitive pay and benefits are included.

We’re hiring a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12-18 months. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn all aspects of our business.

The starting wage for this position is $33,280.00 per year or $16.00 per hour

What You’ll Do:

• Sales & Customer Service:
  • Support achievement of location sales goals.
  • Deliver excellent customer experience to contribute to high customer service scores.
  • Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Operations & Fleet Management:
  • Gain hands‑on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
  • Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Vehicle and Facility Care:
  • Support team with miscellaneous task including but not limited to cleaning and preparing vehicles for customers, lot management, and customer service assistance.
• Finance & Administration:
  • Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
  • Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
• Leadership Development:
  • Shadow and support management in daily operations.
  • Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
  • Prepare for future leadership roles through structured training.
  • Learn how role contributes to/impacts the overall financial wellbeing of the company.
