Job summary

Hertz Local Edition (HLE) is hiring a Manager Trainee to support location performance and develop leadership skills. The role prepares for promotion to Branch Manager in 12–18 months in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers an hourly rate of $18.00, overtime eligibility, holiday pay, sick pay, PTO, and comprehensive Hertz benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching. You will gain experience in sales, operations, and leadership development.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Experience working in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

We’re hiring a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn all aspects of our business.

What You’ll Get:

• The hourly rate / wage for this role is $18.00
• Overtime Pay: Eligible (The company pays overtime in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Per company policy, approval is required prior to the use of overtime)
• Holiday Pay: Eligible (1.5 x regular pay rate for hours worked on a designated holiday, in addition to receiving 8 hours of holiday pay)
• Sick Pay: Granted Up to 40 hours
• Paid Time Off / Vacation / Paid observed Holidays (Accruals start at .83 Days a Month, 4 Floating Holidays, 9 Paid Observed Holidays)

What You’ll Do:

• Sales & Customer Service
  • Support achievement of location sales goals
  • Deliver excellent customer experience to contribute to high customer service scores
  • Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices
