Hertz Local Edition (HLE) is hiring a Manager Trainee in Ventura, CA. The role develops leadership skills and prepares for promotion to Branch Manager in 12–18 months.

You will support location performance, learn fleet logistics, and master sales techniques while delivering exceptional customer service. The position starts at $19.00 per hour with overtime eligibility, paid time off, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and employee assistance programs.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Customer Service: Support achievement of location sales goals.
• Deliver excellent customer experience to contribute to high customer service scores.
• Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Operations & Fleet Management: Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
• Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Vehicle and Facility Care: Support team with cleaning and preparing vehicles for customers, lot management, and customer service assistance.
• Finance & Administration: Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
• Leadership Development: Shadow and support management, build skills in scheduling and performance coaching.

What You’ll Get:

• The hourly rate / wage for this role is $19.00.
• Overtime Pay: Eligible (The company pays overtime in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Per company policy, approval is required prior to the use of overtime).
• Holiday Pay: Eligible (1.5 x regular pay rate for hours worked on a designated holiday, in addition to receiving 8 hours of holiday pay).
• Sick Pay: Granted Up to 40 hours.
• Paid Time Off / Vacation / Paid observed Holidays (Accruals start at .83 Days a Month, 4 Floating Holidays, 9 Paid Observed Holidays).
