Hertz Local Edition is hiring a Manager Trainee to join our Bloomington, IL rental location. You’ll learn to run a successful branch, deliver great customer service, and support daily operations as you prepare for a Branch Manager role in 12–18 months.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in sales, service, fleet, and administration while building leadership skills and earning a competitive wage. This role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Customer service, sales, retail, hospitality, or other professional experience preferred.
• Strong communication, computer, multitasking, and time management skills.
• A self‑motivated, adaptable approach with an interest in learning the business and growing into leadership.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment.
• Professional appearance and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands‑on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships, identifying customer needs, and applying effective sales techniques.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by helping customers through the rental process and resolving questions or concerns professionally.
• Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle preparation, lot organization, documentation, and compliance tasks.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand scheduling, team communication, performance coaching, and business metrics.
• Build the skills needed to grow into future leadership opportunities within Hertz.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is motivated, customer‑focused, and interested in growing into a leadership role. With structured training and real‑world experience, you’ll prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months.

Wage: $17.00 per hour
