Job Summary
Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is hiring a Manager Tool Engineering 2 with the title Control Account Manager to lead and deliver tooling cost performance for integrated programs.

Location: Palmdale, CA. Relocation assistance may be available.
Clearance & Travel
Must obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Travel: Yes, approximately 10% of the time.
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate with program and operations leadership across the Integrated Program Team (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
- Develop and deliver presentations to customers, senior leaders, and other stakeholders regarding tooling cost performance.
- Direct supervision and management of staff, building a high‑performing team.
- Prepare future proposals and estimates impacting tooling Scope of Work (SOW).
- Create Basis of Estimates (BOE), documenting work scope, estimate methodology, and pricing.
- Track budget actuals versus predictions and financial performance in accordance with Earned Value Management (EVM) standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, cost, and schedule risks, maintaining risk and opportunity registers.
- Coordinate with Global Supply Chain for purchase order, change order, and supplier invoicing management.
- Collaborate across program and functional teams to ensure accurate data and on‑time execution.
- Analyze data and prepare leadership briefings for Homeroom Leaders, Program Leaders, and Customers.
- Manage program direct, capital, and indirect projects and budgets.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree AND 5 years of related engineering experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, or implementing technology in a production environment.
- OR Master’s degree AND 3 years of related engineering experience in the same areas.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access.
- Experience in supplier management and cost management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- STEM degree.
- Familiarity with data evaluation tools such as MS Excel and MS Project.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and large‑scale financial portfolio management in aerospace, automotive, or production environments.
- Experience implementing and leading agile methodologies and data digitalization for trend identification.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $146,600 - $219,800. Base pay may be supplemented by overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long‑term incentives for certain senior positions. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off.
