Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a Transportation Operations Coordinator to oversee safe operations and the delivery of products. This role includes managing transportation services, assets, costs, and contractual relationships at the assigned terminal.

The candidate will lead safety initiatives, ensure OSHA compliance, and drive profitability through strategic improvements while collaborating with customers to expand business and strengthen relationships. Strong budgeting and P&L experience is essential.

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in a Transportation related field.
  • 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote all aspects of safety and participate in meetings as required.
  • Adhere to all O.S.H.A. rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on customer sites as required.
  • Implement strategies to maximize profits.
  • Responsible for process improvements.
  • Works closely with customers to develop new business and grow existing accounts.
  • Manage P&L for assigned terminal.
  • Promote customer and contractual relationships.
  • Prepare all written weekly, monthly and budgetary reports.
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for coordination of the safe operations and delivery of product. This includes but is not limited to sales of transportation services, oversight of transportation assets, costs and contractual relationships.

Job Responsibilities

  • Well organized and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a self-starter and a problem-solver
  • Experience in Budget and P&L
  • Working knowledge of trucking industry
  • SAP and Loadmaster knowledge (preferred)
  • Able to work extended hours as necessary
  • English and Spanish speaking (preferred)
Working Conditions
  • Capability to work extended hours as necessary
  • Ability to work with standard office/computer Equipment
  • Capable of working in an open office environment
  • Ability to participate in required overnight travel as necessary
Physical Requirements
  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
  • Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
