Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a Manager, Talent Development to lead talent management, succession planning, leadership development, and employee learning across the U.S. This individual-contributor role translates global requirements into local processes with high enterprise visibility.

You will oversee talent reviews, data preparation, executive materials, and learning programs, while ensuring data confidentiality and ethical AI use. Strong facilitation and analytics are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business, Education, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in talent management, learning and development, or leadership development.
  • Experience leading talent reviews, succession planning, calibration, or high-potential processes.
  • Experience managing leadership or enterprise learning programs.
  • Strong facilitation, consulting, project-management, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to translate global requirements into clear local processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience handling confidential employee data.
  • Experience using AI, automation, or digital-learning tools to improve talent or learning workflows.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual talent reviews, succession planning, calibration, high-potential, and leadership-assessment processes.
  • Prepare talent data, succession materials, executive presentations, and follow-up actions.
  • Facilitate talent and succession discussions with HR and business leaders.
  • Manage leadership, manager, professional-development, and enterprise learning programs.
  • Coordinate nominations, enrollment, communications, vendors, facilitation, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Connect talent-review outcomes to development plans, coaching, mentoring, career development, and leadership readiness.
  • Adapt global programs for U.S. employees while preserving content and intent.
  • Use approved AI, large language models, and automation to support learning content, talent-data synthesis, reporting, and program administration.
  • Protect confidential talent information and review AI-generated work for accuracy, relevance, and bias.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, executives, vendors, and global headquarters.

Role And Responsibilities

The Manager, Talent Development will lead talent management, succession planning, leadership development, and employee learning for Samsung Electronics America. This role will translate global requirements into clear U.S. processes and ensure high-quality execution across annual talent cycles and recurring learning programs. This is an individual-contributor role with significant enterprise visibility.
