Manager, Student Leadership Operations
Role Overview

For a hundred years, Hillel has been the world’s largest and most inclusive Jewish campus organization, inspiring and supporting more than 200,000 students on 850 campuses around the globe each year. We’re seeking a highly organized and collaborative Manager, Student Leadership Operations, to help bring Hillel’s vision for student leadership to life.

As a key member of the Student Leadership and Engagement team, you’ll help scale and sustain Hillel’s strategy to empower the next generation of Jewish leaders, deepen student belonging, and strengthen Jewish life on campus. You will be responsible for coordinating internal operations, managing high-impact projects, and ensuring seamless execution across a growing portfolio of student leadership programs—from national fellowships to on-demand learning platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment and wants to play a critical behind-the-scenes role in shaping the Jewish future. You’ll report to the Senior Director of Student Leadership & Engagement and collaborate across teams to help thousands of students grow as leaders each year.

What You’ll Do

Program & Project Support

  • Partner with the Senior Director and the Student Leadership & Engagement team to implement scalable programs, including the Hillel Leadership Institute, Student Leadership Passport, HillelU for Students, and student convenings.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (e.g., grants, marketing, technology, evaluation) to ensure high-quality, student-facing experiences from ideation to execution.
  • Support and help manage timelines, budgets, logistics, vendor relationships, and communications for in-person and virtual programs.
  • Drive process improvements and systems that enable scale, quality control, and continuous learning.
  • Maintain programmatic trackers, monitor key performance indicators, and synthesize program data to support reporting, answer organizational data requests, and evaluate the success and impact of student programs.
  • Assist with data collection, reporting, and analysis in partnership with Hillel’s Strategy & Measurement team.
  • Contribute to insights and recommendations that shape future program design and strategic decision-making.

Operational Support & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as a point person for operational, administrative, and technical support needs across the leadership portfolio.
  • Coordinate with Hillel field professionals and external partners to support program implementation, communications, and logistics.
  • Identify operational challenges and recommend process improvements to strengthen program delivery and participant experience.
What You've Accomplished
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3‑5 years of relevant experience, ideally in student affairs, program operations, nonprofit management, or a related field.
  • Bonus if you’ve worked on student leadership or Jewish life initiatives, or if you’ve helped manage high-quality programs at scale.
What You'll Bring to the Job
  • A deep commitment to Hillel’s mission and an excitement about helping young Jewish leaders thrive.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and complex details.
  • Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to collect, interpret, and act on data and feedback.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teammates and diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial, and matrixed work environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and an eagerness to take initiative and see projects through to completion.
  • An eye for quality and consistency, balanced with a growth mindset and flexibility in the face of ambiguity.
  • A sense of ownership over your work and joy in supporting the broader success of a mission-driven team.
What You’ll Receive
  • Competitive salary in the non-profit marketplace. The salary range for this role is $60,000–$70,000.
  • The knowledge that your work will generate positive ripple effects in the lives of Hillel students worldwide.
  • Lots of professional development and skill-building opportunities.
  • A fun job with opportunities to create and grow.
  • Smart, dedicated, fun colleagues on the Student Engagement and Leadership team for Hillel International and across the Hillel movement.
  • Flexible work hours and location. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States. While we fully support remote work, we do require employees to be based in the United States.
  • Periodic travel to conferences, campuses, and communities.
  • A comprehensive benefits plan that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off for Jewish and federal holidays, and an informal “take what you need” vacation policy.

Hillel is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating an accepting and inclusive environment for all.
