Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced Manager for Statutory Insurance Accounting on a remote, 6-month consulting engagement. You will lead state regulatory compliance across multiple insurance entities, manage the statutory filings calendar, and deliver Bluebook reporting and related regulatory work.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in insurance accounting with statutory focus, hands-on Sovos Wings experience, and proven ability to drive deliverables with minimal oversight.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of insurance accounting experience with a strong focus on statutory accounting ( Bluebook reporting).
• Hands-on experience with Sovos Wings.
• Experience preparing and managing state insurance regulatory filings and sundry filings.
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulatory compliance requirements.
• Ability to independently manage filing calendars, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and process improvement skills.
• Experience with SAP preferred.

• Document key processes and controls to support knowledge transfer and operational continuity.

Our client is seeking an experienced Statutory Accounting & State Compliance Manager to support its Insurance Accounting organization on a high-impact contract engagement. This hands‑on role will lead state regulatory compliance activities across multiple insurance entities, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of statutory filings, Bluebook reporting, and related regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in insurance statutory accounting, state regulatory filings, and hands‑on experience with Sovos Wings. This individual must be comfortable owning the compliance calendar, managing competing deadlines, and independently driving deliverables with minimal oversight. The successful candidate will also support process documentation, knowledge transfer, and transition activities to internal teams.

Rate: $70.00 - $80.00/hour W-2

Duration: 6-month contract

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
