Position Summary:

The Manager, Sourcing and Category Management, is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and delivering value across key spend categories including technology, professional services, marketing, and operations. This role partners closely with business stakeholders across IT, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Cybersecurity to support sourcing initiatives, negotiate commercial agreements, manage supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities. The Procurement Manager helps ensure sourcing activities align with company objectives, risk management standards, and regulatory requirements while driving operational efficiency, supplier innovation, and continuous improvement across the procurement lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement category management strategies across assigned spend categories to support SFS’s financial, operational, and compliance objectives.
• Lead sourcing initiatives, including supplier identification, competitive bidding, evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution to achieve best value and mitigate risk.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, service-level expectations, and company policies.
• Partner with business stakeholders and vendor risk management teams to support third-party compliance and ongoing supplier oversight.
• Execute RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, including requirements gathering, supplier evaluation, commercial analysis, and award recommendations.
• Analyze spend data, supplier performance metrics, and market intelligence to identify cost savings, process improvements, and value creation opportunities.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Finance to ensure sourcing activities comply with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, including pricing, service levels, confidentiality, data protection, and liability provisions.
• Support the development and maintenance of procurement policies, procedures, templates, and governance practices.
• Supervise, coach, and develop sourcing and procurement team members while promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Competencies Required Required Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management.
• Minimum three (3) years in a managerial capacity leading teams, projects, initiatives, or cross-functional sourcing activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and procurement platforms (e.g., Oracle, Workday).
• Experience developing and executing sourcing strategies across multiple categories, including technology, data services, professional services, operations, and marketing.
• Experience in the financial services industry or a highly regulated environment, with knowledge of regulatory, compliance, audit, data privacy, cybersecurity, and vendor risk management requirements (e.g., SOX, CCPA, CPRA, data privacy and cybersecurity).
• Strong understanding of category management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and risk management principles.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage supplier relationships, drive performance improvements, and achieve cost optimization objectives.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive change.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen, including the ability to interpret complex data, support data-driven decision making, and develop strategic recommendations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Overtime required – required on an as needed basis.
• Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.
• This is an in-office, hybrid position.
• Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Dallas, TX

Qualifications Preferred:

• Master’s degree, JD or MBA preferred.
• C.S.P. (Certified Sourcing Professional), CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management), or equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
• Proficient in reporting tools and procurement software.
