Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of sourcing or procurement experience, including domestic and international supplier management.
  • 1–3 years’ supervisory or people management experience preferred.
  • Experience negotiating supplier contracts and managing strategic supplier relationships in global markets.
  • Knowledge of global sourcing practices, trade regulations, tariffs, and risk management.
  • Experience with new product development, supplier qualification, and CAPEX sourcing.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and sourcing/procurement software.

Position Summary

The Manager, Sourcing is responsible for leading the organization's sourcing operations by developing and executing domestic and global sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity. This role builds and maintains value-driven supplier partnerships, manages sourcing risk, negotiates contracts, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to support business objectives. They will also oversee supplier performance, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and manage a team responsible for sourcing operations while ensuring adherence to budgets, company standards, and organizational goals.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and implement domestic and global sourcing strategies that optimize quality, delivery, cost, and supply chain performance.
  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop new suppliers in domestic and international markets to ensure reliable sources of supply.
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships focused on risk management, reliability, innovation, and cost‑effectiveness.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, including pricing, contracts, terms and conditions, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) initiatives, following structured negotiation processes.
  • Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), scorecards, and compliance metrics, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Production, Quality, Logistics, and other cross‑functional teams to define material, quality, service, and performance requirements.
  • Represent the Sourcing function in new product development and design initiatives to ensure sourcing strategies support business objectives.
  • Analyze market conditions, supplier capabilities, pricing trends, tariffs, trade regulations, and industry benchmarks to support informed sourcing decisions.
  • Manage sourcing-related risks and develop strategies to ensure business continuity and uninterrupted supply.
  • Oversee the tracking, reporting, and prevention of Purchase Price Variance (PPV) where applicable.
  • Utilize ERP systems and sourcing tools to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, and control costs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop sourcing team members by managing daily operations, establishing performance expectations, conducting personnel actions, and ensuring departmental goals and budgets are achieved.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of sourcing or procurement experience, including responsibility for domestic and international supplier management.
  • 1 – 3 years’ supervisory or people management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating supplier contracts and managing strategic supplier relationships in global markets.
  • Strong knowledge of global sourcing practices, international trade regulations, tariffs, import/export compliance, and supply chain risk management.
  • Experience participating in new product development, supplier qualification, and CAPEX sourcing activities.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and sourcing/procurement software.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing or supply chain environment.
  • Ability to analyze market intelligence, benchmark supplier performance, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
