What You’ll Get To Do
Functional Management (≈20%)
- Assess staffing needs, current and projected, and work with respective team leads to address those needs.
- Support recruitment activities: create requisitions, conduct interviews, approve offers.
- Work with program leaders to establish personal, program, and functional goals, perform performance evaluations, and recommend merit adjustments for subordinates.
- Provide career development recommendations, mentoring, and discipline as necessary.
- Generate training plans based on the program and subordinates’ needs.
Technical Role (≈80%)
- Lead the Command & Control (C2) Software Test Team, about 20 software and automation test engineers.
- Lead a team responsible for developing, performing, and supporting test activities and documentation at the CSCI level.
- Perform Cost Account Management and Risk Management duties.
- Participate in technical planning, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses for element capabilities.
- Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness and compliance of the test program.
- Verify specifications and designs through testing, data processing, and support modeling, simulation, and performance analysis.
- Provide site and flight test support for subsystem requirement verification.
- Create technical reports and present test and analysis results.
- Work with various team members to lead automation and integration of functionality with other software environments.

The standard work schedule is a 9/80 schedule, allowing a nine‑hour workday Monday through Thursday and every other Friday off.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
- 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6 years with a Master’s degree.
- Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation within the last 6 years; ability to obtain Special Program Access.
- At least 1 year leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
- At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in embedded and/or application software test planning and execution.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have
- Experience managing people.
- Experience as a design engineer or design assurance engineer.
- Experience with Siemens CPLM and NX or similar.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Experience in Mission Assurance / Quality.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
- Experience with a multi‑phase design/approval process.
- Experience with a Quality Management System.
- Experience working in an AS9100 or ISO9001 certified workplace.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
Primary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $230,800.00
