Job summary

Thomas Thor in Houston, TX is seeking a Manager, Services Portfolio to lead planning, analysis, and governance of the growing plant services portfolio.

You'll develop business plans for new and existing service lines, evaluate opportunities, monitor portfolio health, and collaborate with service line managers, Business Development, FP&A, and Engineering to provide the analytical foundation and strategic planning needed to grow the portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of full-time experience with a nuclear reactor technology development company, including at least 5 years in its services delivery organization.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and leadership skills, with a basic understanding of project management principles.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate personnel and coordinate multiple technical discipline interfaces to deliver timely solutions.
  • Senior Reactor Operator certification or nuclear-related construction/startup experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize the plant services portfolio—evaluating service lines, identifying opportunities, and supporting prioritization.
  • Lead the development, financial modeling, and approval of annual and multi-year business plans.
  • Drive business case development for new services, coordinating technical and compliance validation and presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Monitor performance through KPIs, analyze data, and track market trends to maintain portfolio health.
  • Act as liaison between Plant Services and engineering teams to integrate services requirements into product planning.
  • Provide analytical and pricing support for business development, including proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Lead a small team, promoting a culture of rigor and continuous improvement.

Job description

Our client, a nuclear reactor technology development company, is seeking a Manager, Services Portfolio to lead the planning, analysis, and governance of its growing plant services portfolio.

In this role, you'll shape the future of the services business—developing business plans for new and existing service lines, evaluating new opportunities, and monitoring portfolio health. Working closely with service line managers, Business Development, FP&A, and Engineering, you'll provide the Senior Director, Plant Services, with the analytical foundation and strategic planning support needed to grow the portfolio effectively.

Responsibilities

Desired: Senior Reactor Operator certification; nuclear-related construction and startup experience; or nuclear technology or services business development experience.

Industry requirements
  • Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
  • With appropriate training, able to work on an active nuclear power plant construction project site in connection with the delivery of pre-commercial operation services.

This is an on-site role based in either Houston, TX or Corvallis, OR
