Job summary

Disney Live Entertainment in Anaheim, CA seeks a seasoned Manager-Scenic Fabrication to lead the coordination, fabrication, maintenance, and preservation of scenic elements. This full-time role reports to the Senior Manager-Art Studio/Services and Scenic Fabrication.

You will mentor teams, drive safety and operational excellence, and oversee planning, budgeting, vendor relationships, and daily operations at Miller Warehouse while collaborating with leaders across Art Studio/Services, Scenic

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in live entertainment, event production, fabrication, manufacturing, warehousing, or a related industry.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching, developing, and motivating teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of scenic fabrication, production operations, or related technical disciplines within a high-volume setting.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and other business software tools.
  • Dynamic problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, and influencing skills with the ability to drive results across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including conflict resolution, collaboration, and stakeholder management.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to hourly Production Artisan, Warehouse, and Support Cast Members, Scenic Fabrication Managers, and other salaried leaders as assigned.
  • Foster a culture of safety, customer service, operational excellence, teamwork, and professional development while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead the strategic planning, daily operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Miller Warehouse facility while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate operational performance, key initiatives, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership through regular updates and reporting.
  • Drive business operations by overseeing budgeting, bidding, job workflow, billing processes, and financial governance to ensure fiscal accountability and operational consistency.
  • Manage vendor relationships, procurement activities, and facility asset management programs to support efficient and effective operations.
  • Oversee staffing plans, labor scheduling, timekeeping, labor tracking, and workforce utilization while leveraging labor reporting tools to optimize operational performance.
  • Provide direction and oversight for daily work schedules, timesheet administration, fabrication requests, inventory management, and asset-tracking processes.
  • Partner closely with leaders and teams across Art Studio/Services, Scenic Fabrication, Production, Operations, and Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) to ensure effective collaboration, communication, and project execution.

Manager-Scenic Fabrication responsibilities:

The Manager-Scenic Fabrication is responsible for providing leadership to various Salaried Cast Members who oversee the coordination, fabrication, maintenance, and ongoing preservation of both new and existing scenic elements.

This is a full-time salaried position that will report to the Senior Manager-Art Studio/Services and Scenic Fabrication.

What You Will Do:

  • Experience managing a production shop, fabrication facility, warehouse operation, or similar production environment
  • Advanced expertise in project management, production planning, workflow optimization, and process improvement
  • Experience managing operational budgets, capital projects, and vendor partnerships
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Theatre Production, Business Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience is preferred

Salary:

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $95,500.00-$128,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided
