Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking a seasoned regulatory reporting specialist to lead and support Axiom implementations for banking clients across multiple markets (FFIEC 031/041, FR Y-9C, FR 2644, FR 2900, FR Y-9LP).

You will translate complex regulatory instructions into effective reporting solutions, drive data governance and controls, and mentor project teams to deliver accurate, compliant reports on time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 5+ years in U.S. bank regulatory reporting, with FFIEC 031/041, FR Y-9C, FR 2644, FR 2900, FR Y-9LP.
  • Strong knowledge of data sourcing, mapping, and reporting logic.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Description & Requirements

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and support Axiom regulatory reporting implementations for banking clients, with a focus on agency reports including Call Reports (FFIEC 031/041), FR Y-9C, FR 2644, FR 2900, and FR Y-9LP.
  • Partner with clients and project teams to gather, refine, and prioritize business requirements, translating complex regulatory instructions into effective Axiom reporting solutions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and challenge reporting requirements, design decisions, and implementation approaches to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
  • Advise on reporting logic, taxonomy design, source-to-target mapping, and data requirements to support accurate and compliant regulatory reporting.
  • Drive best practices related to regulatory reporting automation, data governance, controls, and data quality management.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory guidance, and examiner focus areas, incorporating insights into implementation and remediation efforts.
  • Support project delivery activities including planning, issue and risk management, requirement traceability, stakeholder communications, and status reporting.
  • Collaborate across business, data, and technology teams to manage dependencies, resolve challenges, and keep project milestones on track.
  • Assist with parallel-run activities, report validation, cutover planning, and go-live readiness assessments for regulatory reporting implementations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including business rules, data lineage, reporting processes, and control frameworks to support audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Guide quality assurance and user acceptance testing efforts, reviewing results and validating reporting outputs affected by system or process changes.
  • Mentor team members and provide technical guidance, helping to strengthen regulatory reporting and consulting capabilities across project teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in U.S. bank regulatory reporting, with deep expertise in regulatory filings including Call Reports (FFIEC 031/041), FR Y-9C, FR 2644, FR 2900, and FR Y-9LP.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory reporting data sourcing, reporting logic, taxonomy design, and source-to-target mapping.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and rationalize business requirements and translate regulatory guidance into reporting solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, data, risk, finance, and technology teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA or advanced degree
  • Experience supporting or leading Axiom regulatory reporting implementations, configurations, enhancements, or reporting transformations.
  • Prior consulting or advisory experience delivering regulatory reporting transformation initiatives for financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data lineage, and source-to-target mapping in a reporting environment.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis techniques to support reporting, validation, and testing activities.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory reporting controls, governance, and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience supporting post-conversion cleanup, remediation efforts, or acquisition-related regulatory reporting integration activities.
