Manager, Risk Management

We are seeking a Manager of Risk Management on our Process Innovation team to serve as a strategic partner to the business during a pivotal time of transformation. Risk Managers at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent organizational and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure across business teams and have the opportunity to work with Executives to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company. As a Risk Manager for the Global Payment Network, you will drive strategy and execution on complex program design, confirming that our rapid evolution is met with robust governance, control, and process excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Advisory: Advise and consult with Vertical Risk Managers, Well-Managed Teams, and Business Partners to help develop and implement processes innovation across the Network L2s, and to highlight and communicate areas of risk exposure to leadership.
• Cross-Functional Delivery: Manage, implement, and deliver on key program deliverables and horizontal processes, coordinating across Business, Product, Legal, and Compliance teams.
• Program Support: Drive strategy and program execution across L2 hierarchy and ontology, Legal Library, and Governed Document programs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience
• At least 3 years of financial services risk management experience
• At least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clients

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional projects and programs in risk
• 5+ years of financial services risk management experience
• Experience supporting payments or integration efforts

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Risk Manager

Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Risk Manager

New York, NY: $165,700 - $189,200 for Risk Manager

Chicago, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 for Risk Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
