Job summary

Bloomingdale's is seeking a career oriented professional to join our Restaurant team. This seasoned manager will be responsible for all aspects managing our restaurant.

The role requires 3-5 years of full-service restaurant management experience, a Bachelor's Degree, and strong leadership to motivate a Front & Back-Of-The-House team. Spanish language skills and culinary experience are a plus in a fast-paced upscale environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university.
• 3-5 years related experience in full-service restaurant management.
• Culinary experience a plus.
• Conversational Spanish a plus.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of Front & Back-Of-The-House Food service Associates.
• Ability to manage restaurant operations independently.
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously.
• Ability to manage resources to ensure that established service levels are achieved at all times.
• Organization and planning skills.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor others.
• Knowledge and appreciation of a la carte restaurant service.
• Knowledge and appreciation of quick-serve counter service in an upscale environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, attendance policy compliance, purchasing food and supplies, catering, payables and receivables, P&L plans, menu development and promotions.
• Oversee 3-5 years of full-service restaurant management operations.
• Maintain high levels of organization and adapt to changing priorities.
• Lead and direct workforce, make staffing decisions, interact with customers and ensure outstanding service and consistent product quality.
• Communicate with customers daily to ensure outstanding service.

• Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
• May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling and stooping
• Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
• Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs
