Job summary

SBA Communications seeks a Regulatory Compliance Manager to ensure adherence to FAA and FCC regulations across tower assets. You will review NEPA/EA/Phase I studies, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with regulatory and field offices to implement new rules.

You will also support the General Counsel and oversee RTP processes and FCC accounts. The role requires 7+ years in governmental compliance, knowledge of environmental regulations, and strong MS Word/Excel skills.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • 7+ years of governmental compliance experience.
  • Experience with environmental regulations preferred.
  • Tower industry knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret regulations and technical documents.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, internet and email.

Responsibilities

  • Review NEPA/EA/Phase I environmental reports and file with FCC.
  • Identify regulatory discrepancies for towers and report to FAA/FCC.
  • Support Associate General Counsel of Regulatory Compliance.
  • Inform field offices of new FAA/FCC regulations.
  • Coordinate FCC environmental evaluations and SHPO/THPO consultations.
  • Manage RTP processes with NBG and for tower replacements.

The company reserves the right to modify or terminate benefit plans at any time, consistent with applicable law.If you’re ready to make an impact with a stable industry leader, we want to hear from you.Job Profile SummaryEnsure compliance with various regulatory agencies including FAA, FCC, along with any federal and state government agencies.Your Next Career Opportunity – Regulatory Compliance ManagerEnsure compliance with various regulatory agencies including FAA, FCC, along with any federal and state government agencies.What You Will Do – Primary ResponsibilitiesReview environmental (NEPA, EA, Phase I) reports and file with FCC accordingly.Review, investigate and note any regulatory discrepancies for all towers.Report towers to FAA and FCC within required time frames and track FAA/FCC status of all sites.Provide support to the Associate General Counsel of Regulatory ComplianceInform field offices of new FAA and FCC regulations as they change.Advise and negotiate with the field offices on problem sites.Participate in and coordinate FCC environmental evaluations.Order SHPO/THPO consultation services for tower leasing.Manage RTP process with NBG.Manage RTP process for tower replacements.Manage FCC FRN accounts.Manage the CRM violations tracker.Daily data entry in the property management database.Daily contact with field personnel, clients, government agencies and environmental consultants.Other projects and duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:Oversee and advise compliance specialists.Work with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ a talented and diverse group of high performing team members.Provide oversight and direction to team members in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.Coach, mentor, and develop team members, including overseeing new team member onboarding and providing career development planning and growth opportunities.Empower team members to take ownership of their job and goals.
