Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in quality improvement, patient safety, or related healthcare field.
• 3+ years in leadership or supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Promote a culture of safety across the hospital.
• Oversee patient safety programs ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality reporting requirements.

• Lead Root Cause Analysis investigations for significant adverse events.

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing and managing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within the hospital. This position involves developing and implementing strategies to enhance the overall quality of patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of safety among healthcare teams.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and direct hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Provide leadership in promoting a culture of safety throughout the hospital.
• Oversee patient safety programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the hospital's compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality reporting requirements.
• Oversee the monitoring and analysis of key quality metrics, such as readmission rates, infection rates, and patient satisfaction scores.
• Lead or facilitate Root Cause Analysis investigations for significant adverse events.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for hospital leadership, regulatory agencies, and quality improvement committees.
• Lead the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to address emerging challenges and enhance overall quality and safety.

Schedule and Work Model

• Full‑time, Monday through Friday, standard business hours (ET)
• Hybrid work model: No set schedule for on‑site and remote (work from home); must be available to be on‑site as needed at Brigham and Women's Hospital as well as other Mass General Brigham affiliated hospitals and flexible based on business needs.
• On remote workdays, employees must use a stable, secure, and compliant workstation in a quiet environment. Teams Video is required and must be accessed using MGB‑provided equipment.
