Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Manager, Quality Engineering for its Camden, AR site. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and leading total quality management programs and Six Sigma initiatives to ensure zero-defect, on-time delivery aligned with contract requirements.

The selected candidate will manage a Quality Engineering team, drive cross-functional quality improvements, and ensure compliance with internal, customer, regulatory, and 3rd party standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years aerospace/defense quality experience; or 7+ years with a graduate degree; or 13+ years without a degree.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years experience with quality management systems (QMS) and quality principles.
• 2+ years experience with continuous improvement concepts and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Engineering Team to achieve Camden site goals with focus on zero-defect, on-time delivery of products meeting contractual quality and performance requirements.
• Leads projects, provides training, logistical and infrastructural assistance for quality initiatives.
• Ensures internal, customer, regulatory and 3rd party requirements are defined, measured, and continuously improved.
• Leads root cause and corrective action to address product and process non-conformances and compliance gaps.
• Drives early cross-functional engagement initiatives to ensure quality is built into the design and processes.
• Responsible for developing and implementing inspection planning, testing and evaluation methods to verify product repeatability and reproducibility.
• Develops budget, monitors expenditures and leads a quality team of Quality Engineers.
• May oversee program/project execution through review of proposals and completion of gate reviews.
• Interface with customer and on-site representatives.
• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Manager, Quality Engineering to join the Missile Solution Segment at our growing site in Camden, AR. The selected individual will be responsible for the development, implementation, leadership, and measurement of total quality management programs and Six Sigma initiatives.

Essential Functions:

• Lead Quality Engineering Team to achieve Camden site goals with high level focus on successful zero-defect, on-time delivery of products meeting contractual quality and performance requirements.

• 5+ years’ experience in the field of manufacturing.
• 2+ years of experience with quality management systems (QMS) and quality principles.
• 2+ years of experience with continuous improvement concepts and the ability to deploy and lead to the benefit of the business.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Engineering or technical experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• GD&T knowledge.
• Knowledge of Maestro, Oracle, Delmia systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Programs, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of ISO and AS9100 auditing.
• CQE or CQM/OE certification.
