Job description

Main Responsibilities
  • Establish and set up the quality team in the plant, including definition of applicable methods and processes; continually develop quality management system
  • Coordinate the establishment and implementation of the Process System of the plant
  • Continually improve process, product quality
  • Ensure the quality requirements of both internal and external customers are met
  • Support for the quality and environmental management system in accordance with IATF16949 and ISO14001, AMS, BOS
  • Lead to continuous improvement of quality processes in the plant
  • Provide support for serious quality problems and or critical quality situations personally by establishing or maintaining necessary customer contacts and leading problem solving process
  • Plan, implement and review appropriate quality and environmental audits
  • Monitor existing vendor supply base performance
  • Interface with customers and suppliers when required
  • Support engineering efforts to develop, maintain and improve products to meet Customer expectations
  • Analyze scrap and defect data for trends and refinement needs
  • Establish quality cost controlling and controlled intervention
  • Has the authority to stop the production process if a safety or quality concern is noticed
  • Manage employees including appropriate employee development plan together with Human Resources department; responsible for job-related coordination of quality employees in the production team

  • Ensure that all activities accordance with Environmental legal & requirements
  • Follow all Health & Safety and Environmental requirements that are defined on work instructions or communicated in training
  • Participation in the HSE involvement in management of change process, attendance in HSE related team meetings
  • Communicating often about safety: safety talk and feedback, ensure accident and near-miss reporting procedures are understood and complied with, assist with accident investigations & 8D report
  • Zero tolerance & fully compliance with high risk/critical work: Permit System
  • Conduct risk assessments on activities within their department ensuring that the methods and systems of work are safe, also that the necessary procedures, rules and regulations designed to achieve this are formulated, published and applied
Qualifications (Education, Skills, And Experiences)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, Master’s Degree is an advantage
  • At least 10 years of experience in quality management preferably in Automotive Industry
  • Computers and standard business software (Microsoft Office as an example)
  • Strong knowledge in IATF16949, knowledge in ISO 14001 & OSHAS 18001 will be beneficial
  • Strong analytical with problem solving skills under 5 Whys & 8D concepts
  • Leadership character with problem solving skill is required
  • Good command in English
