Job summary

JLL in Morrisville, NC is seeking a PM/PMO leader to guide governance and deliver excellence across a North American commercial portfolio. You will build standardized methods, deliver governance frameworks, and track KPIs to improve delivery quality.

This role emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and scalable processes in a dynamic environment. You will drive project governance, ensure consistent documentation, and support portfolio-wide decision-making while partnering with clients and leaders

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction or project management with proven delivery success.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience with project management software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities with experience building client relationships.

What this job involves:

As a PM/PMO within our Project & Development Services team, you'll play a dual role combining strategic portfolio oversight with hands-on project leadership. Your primary focus will be building and maintaining governance frameworks that drive consistency, quality, and efficiency across our North American commercial portfolio. You'll establish standardized methodologies, create tools that elevate our delivery standards, and track the metrics that matter. What your day-to-day will look like:

• Support resource allocation and capacity planning across the project portfolio
• Maintain the project management information system (PMIS) and prepare portfolio-level reports for leadership.

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction or project management with proven delivery success
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Proficiency with project management software and MS Office Suite
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and presentation abilities with experience building client relationships

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• Professional certification such as PMP, LEED, or equivalent industry credential
• Experience developing PMO frameworks and standardized processes across a portfolio
• Familiarity with change management principles and process improvement initiatives
• Contract negotiation and vendor management experience
• Exposure to international projects or multi-regional portfolio management
