Treaty Oak features an experienced management team with a track record of developing and commercializing 9 GW+ of utility‑scale power projects and a collective 100+ years’ experience across critical competencies, including power markets, offtake structuring, design, engineering and real estate.
Treaty Oak is seeking a Manager, Project Finance, who will be a key team member involved in leading and/or supporting all aspects of the project finance function that has already successfully raised more than $1bn of project-level third‑party funding across Treaty Oak’s first 3 projects. Responsibilities will span work streams relating to marketing, structuring, negotiating, executing, closing, and funding of construction and term debt financings and tax credit monetization for Treaty Oak’s late‑stage and in‑construction projects.
In this role, you will be the lead financial modeler in the team, take ownership of all model inputs and their supporting information; coordinate due diligence with consultants and financiers, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. counsel, lenders, investors, advisors, and consultants) across the full scope of relevant work streams to drive exemplary project financing processes.
This is a high responsibility and high growth opportunity role, with no limit on future progression as you increasingly develop familiarity with, and take ownership of, other key transaction work such as documentation structuring and review, as well as provide mentorship to the existing Associate in the team and potentially take on a direct report in future. Treaty Oak is consequently seeking a motivated individual with strong knowledge of renewable energy project financing concepts, demonstrable best‑practice financial modeling of such projects, and transaction experience from relevant debt project financings and/or tax equity investments and their associated workflows.
The position will report to the Director, Project Finance who leads the 4‑person project finance function comprising another Director, this Manager position, and an Associate. The project finance team forms part of Treaty Oak’s 11‑person Investments team, which also comprises professionals dedicated to project M&A and internal investment decisions with MAM.
This role is based at Treaty Oak’s headquarters in Austin, TX, with a hybrid schedule in office Tuesday through Thursday and remote on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must either be local or willing to relocate within two months. Until relocation, periodic travel to Austin will be required.
