Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Project Engineer to support successful execution of Walmart GC Initiative projects. You will coordinate documentation, schedules, compliance, contractor communications, reporting, and field operations with project managers and store leadership.

You’ll migrate documents in Wrike, review submittals, coordinate permits, provide scheduling data, and help manage procurement. Willingness to travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• 1–5 years of construction project engineer/field experience.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specs, and scheduling.
• Proficiency with Wrike and Lucernex preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and organize projects in Wrike; migrate Lucernex documents.
• Manage compliance documentation and keep records current in Wrike.
• Review subcontractor submittals, shop drawings, safety plans, and compliance docs.
• Coordinate Walmart-provided materials with procurement and project teams.
• Coordinate permits with PMD, AHJs, and contractors; upload to Wrike.
• Provide OPM/CPM data for scheduling; resolve impacts with PM/ Superintendent.
• Submit finalized schedules to procurement/contract admin for incorporation.
• Support RFI implementation and weekly status reporting.

About the team:
The Walmart Realty construction team leads onsite operations across Walmart US, managing subcontractors and field personnel to ensure projects meet design, quality, and safety standards. The team oversees scheduling, site logistics, and regulatory inspections to maintain efficient workflows and compliance. Focused on safety assurance and quality control, they implement proactive measures and training to uphold site safety. Through effective communication and coordination, the team supports timely project delivery while fostering continuous improvement and adherence to company policies and standards.
