Job summary

TC Energy (US) seeks a Manager of Program Implementation and Sustainment to lead cross-functional initiatives across US Natural Gas. You will develop and implement programs, processes, and tools with stakeholders in operations, safety, technical services, projects, and commercial teams.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, continuous improvement, and the ability to influence change while traveling across the US and Canada. A hybrid work model is available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in business analytics, project management, operations or engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and develop diverse teams. Experience leading change initiatives and driving continuous improvement with the ability to inspire and be a champion for change.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance operational, financial, and risk considerations.
  • Ability to translate process requirements to business outcomes Proficient in operational risk management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to travel across Canada and the United States, including overnight stays.

The Opportunity US Operations Program is committed to the delivery of centralized programs and services to support safety and operational excellence. We are seeking an energetic Manager to lead the implementation and sustainment of critical operational and business programs that will transform how we work across US Natural Gas (USNG). Reporting to the Director – Operations Programs the Manager of Program Implementation and Sustainment is responsible for leading a team to develop and implement programs, processes and tools across USNG including but not limited to Operations Technical Competency Programs, Operational Risk Management, Control of Work, and maintenance programs. The team will collaborate with key stakeholders including operations, operations services, safety and technical services, projects and commercial to ensure effective implementation, while serving as an advocate for operational requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field;
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in business analytics, project management, operations or engineering;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and develop diverse teams. Experience leading change initiatives and driving continuous improvement with the ability to inspire and be a champion for change.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance operational, financial, and risk considerations.
  • Ability to translate process requirements to business outcomes Proficient in operational risk management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to think strategically and tactically.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to effectively present information to senior leaders and stakeholder teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and effectively collaborate with stakeholders across different departments and levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to travel across Canada and the United States, including overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in natural gas transmission, storage, or energy operations preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
