Job description

FlightSafety International is the world’s premier professional aviation training company and supplier of flight simulators, visual systems and displays to commercial, government and military organizations. The company provides training for pilots, technicians and other aviation professionals from 167 countries and independent territories. FlightSafety operates the world’s largest fleet of advanced full-flight simulators and award-winning maintenance training at Learning Centers and training locations in the United States, Canada, France and the United Kingdom.

Purpose of Position

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Will manage single programs or smaller multiple programs.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  1. Establishes program plan, budget, and staffing needs for each phase of assigned program(s) and works with managers and supervisors for proper assignment of program personnel.
  2. Reviews labor and material expenditures and manages program budget, reviews progress payments.
  3. Confers with program staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  4. Directs and coordinates activities of program personnel in support of program quality, schedule, and budget.
  5. Reviews status reports prepared by program personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
  6. Prepares program reports for management, customer, or other stakeholders.
  7. Works with stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
  8. Coordinates program activities with regulatory authorities or other governmental agencies.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business preferred; PMP certification required.

+ 4 years’ relative experience. Background in aerospace manufacturing preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Windows and Outlook.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
