Job description

Product Management at Capital One is a booming, vibrant craft that requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology. We believe our portfolio of businesses and investments in growth and transformation will result in a company with the scale, brand, capabilities, talent, and values to succeed as the digital revolution transforms our society and our industry.

Join the engine room of Capital One's customer experience. We are seeking strategic, technically-minded Product Managers to lead mission-critical platforms that power billions of interactions. From managing massive data ecosystems to building the interfaces our global agents use every day, you will drive the under-the-hood innovation that makes seamless banking possible.

We have multiple openings across our specialized Customer Services & Strategy teams. While each role has a unique focus, they all share a common goal: building scalable, well-managed, and data-driven solutions.

Here are just a few examples of our open Product Management roles:
  • Workforce & Intelligent Routing (Data): Architect the data products and publishing patterns that power enterprise-level routing and workforce insights.
  • Card Customer Resiliency - Recoveries Offers: Our offer programs serve as the vital framework through which we empower customers to resolve outstanding balances, frequently by extending significant concessions to those facing the most acute financial pressures. With millions of individuals engaging with these programs annually, your work will directly impact a massive population, guiding them through periods of instability toward a future of sustainable credit health.
  • Fraud Decisioning: Personal loans introduces a unique risk relative to credit cards in that personal loans are disbursed in one lump sum after approval. We are looking for a Product Manager to help us determine and build the right fraud detection and mitigation to provide a first-in-class frictionless experience for good customers, and prompt the right verification tool(s) to deter fraudsters when we see risk.
  • Enterprise Document Management: Oversee the real-time ingestion and safeguarding of a 15-billion+ document ecosystem, ensuring high-stakes data is handled with precision.
  • Agent Servicing Platforms: Build collaborative, reusable tools that optimize the experience for both our software developers and frontline agents. Direct the product strategy for frontline customer servicing agent empowerment, performance management, and coaching capabilities on our quality assurance platform.
  • Customer Assist Observability: Step into the cutting-edge world of Autonomous AI as the Product Manager for a product which focuses on Alerting, Traceability, Logging, Automated controls, and System observability. In this role, you will spearhead our strategy for system safety, automated controls, and robust observability, partnering cross-functionally to build scalable, technology-driven architectures that deploy real-time alerts, ensure compliance, and drastically reduce incident recovery times.
Capital One Product Framework

In these roles, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which we consider to be the foundation for successful Product Management:

  • Human Centered - Obsesses about internal and external customer needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions
  • Business Focused - Delivers game-changing outcomes by focusing on leverage and execution excellence
  • Technology Driven - Leverages technology to deliver innovative and resilient solutions that enable both near term and long term value
  • Integrated Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves complex problems to deliver outcomes while mitigating product risks
  • Transformational Leadership - Leads cross functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment
Basic Qualifications
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
    • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field), Business or Marketing
OR
  • Bachelor's degree in any field and at least 3 years of Product Management experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
