Manager, Product Innovation – Foundry

The Manager, Product Innovation will be a key member of the Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF) portfolio, focused on identifying and developing innovative solutions that address the evolving needs of small businesses and commercial customers. This role will work across product, strategy, engineering, design, and customer research teams to bring new concepts from ideation through commercialization, with a particular focus on cross-border money movement, international payments, commercial payments, and emerging payment technologies.
Role
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and development of new product opportunities within the CNPF portfolio.
- Partner with CNPF leadership to identify strategic growth opportunities and develop innovative products that address emerging customer and market needs.
- Partner with Global Product teams, Transfer Solutions, SME Solutions, and other stakeholders to shape product strategies and innovation roadmaps.
- Develop innovative products and solutions that address cross-border and international payment challenges across commercial and new payment flows.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for progressing concepts from ideation through pilot, incubation, and commercialization.
- Drive end-to-end product development, including market validation, business case creation, product strategy, pilot execution, and commercialization planning.
- Build strong relationships across Foundry, Global Product, Engineering, Design, Research, and regional teams to accelerate product delivery.
- Leverage customer, market, and competitive insights to identify emerging trends and unmet customer needs.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with strategic business objectives and growth opportunities.
- Support the development of a robust innovation pipeline by fostering internal and external partnerships.
- Apply a data-driven approach to prioritize opportunities, measure outcomes, and inform investment decisions.
- Influence senior stakeholders and executive leadership through clear recommendations, business cases, and investment proposals.
All About You
- Experience leading product innovation, new product development, strategy consulting, product management, corporate strategy, or business transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated success bringing new products or solutions from concept through commercialization.
- Experience incubating and scaling early-stage products, concepts, or innovation initiatives.
- Experience managing high-performing teams in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
- Strong understanding of product development methodologies, commercialization processes, and innovation frameworks.
- Experience building business cases, product strategies, and go-to-market plans.
- Deep understanding of cross-border payments, international payments, money movement, remittances, commercial payments, and emerging payment ecosystems.
- Experience influencing senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and investment decisions.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across global and multicultural teams.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with digital assets, stablecoins, blockchain-enabled payment solutions, or emerging money movement technologies.
- Experience working within fintech, payments, banking, consulting, or technology organizations.
- Familiarity with B2B, B2B2C, and SMB customer segments.
- Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging customer and market insights to shape product strategy.

Benefits & Compensation
In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
