Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee daily clinic management at a IHMG location. The role includes hiring, coaching, staff development, performance management, and succession planning, with a focus on patient satisfaction and service growth.

Travel is required to support system locations. Key responsibilities include budgeting, financial monitoring, safety compliance, policy adherence, and collaboration with leadership to drive efficiency and quality

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Higher in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five (5) years of clinical, physician practice or healthcare related experience.
• Strong leadership ability, organized thinking, judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability in nursing practice.
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to a wide and diverse audience.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervisory responsibilities including hiring, coaching, recognition, staff productivity and performance management.
• Assure completion of staff competencies including mandatory education and program criteria.
• Provide opportunities for input into decision‑making and promote quality work.
• Develop and manage department budget at or below expectations and adapt to volume changes.
• Identify revenue enhancement opportunities and maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Travel between System locations and ensure office safety and policy adherence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This includes direct supervisory responsibilities such as hiring, coaching/mentoring, skills development, recognition and rewards, staff productivity, performance management, and succession planning. Consider the financial impact of decisions; use financial concepts for decision‑making; monitor financial performance; Establish and maintain a safe working environment. Maintain high levels of patient satisfaction, and steady growth in services and revenue. Travel required.

Essential Job Functions

Staff Management:

• Direct supervisory responsibilities such as hiring, coaching/mentoring, skills development, recognition and rewards, staff productivity, performance management, and succession planning
• Equitably and consistently apply and practice policies and procedures for all staff.
• Assure completion of staff competencies including mandatory education and programs relative to job‑specific criteria.
• Provide opportunities for staff to actively provide input into the decision‑making process; seek input before a decision is made.
• Encourage commitment to quality work throughout areas of responsibility.

Financial/Strategy:

• Monitor financial performance, develop plans for improvement.
• Consider financial impact of decisions; use financial concepts for decision‑making
• Develop and manage department budget at or below budget expectations and consistent with adjusted volume variations.
• Identify and implement revenue enhancement opportunities
• Establish and maintain a safe working environment; assure staff comply with safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines
• Assure proper use of safety equipment and devices; hold individuals accountable if non‑compliant
• Ensure compliance with office/clinical policy procedures such as timely patient test authorizations, open ticket completion and tracking, co‑pay collection levels, and registration denial levels.
• Maintain office appearance, order maintenance as needed, and ensure the office is a safe environment for the patients and employees
• Other duties as assigned.

Competency and Experience [Knowledge, Skills and Abilities]

Required Qualifications/Experience

• Associate’s Degree or Higher in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or related field
• Five (5) years of clinical, physician practice or healthcare related experience.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice.
• Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• Experience in Healthcare setting
• Prior supervisory experience

License, Certification & Clearances

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program.
• Act 33 with renewal
• Act 34 with renewal
• Act 73 FBI Clearance

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on‑call, etc.).
• Travel may be expected locally between System locations.
