Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA seeks a Manager of Patient Transport to lead the patient movement team within the Patient Intake Department. The role focuses on scheduling, workflow prioritization, policy enforcement, and training compliance to ensure timely and safe patient transport.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years of leadership, with an associate degree in a related field; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Business, Healthcare, Administration, or Public Relations required; Bachelors Degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or Public Relations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel in the Patient Transport area of the Patient Intake Department.
• Plan work schedules and prioritize workflow; maintain time and attendance records.
• Enforce hospital and departmental policies; establish controls for thorough, effective performance.
• Ensure staff maintains required training (e.g., driver’s license, BCLS).
• Coordinate with Clinical Nurse Managers & Directors to optimize patient movement and throughput.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Manager Patient Transport is responsible for managing personnel in the Patient Transport area of the Patient Intake Department. This includes planning work schedules, prioritizing workflow, maintaining time and attendance records, enforcing hospital and departmental policies and procedures and establishing controls to ensure that each employee is thorough and effective in job performance. The Manager is also responsible for overseeing team members maintain current status on all required training (i.e. driver’s license, BCLS). This position works with key drivers in the patient through-put process (i.e. Clinical Nurse Managers & Directors) to ensure timely patient movement and appropriate prioritization of patient transports to support effective patient flow.

What qualifications you will need:

• 3+ years of applicable experience required; 5+ years of leadership experience required
• Associate's Degree in Business, Healthcare, Administration, or Public Relations required; Bachelors Degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or Public Relations preferred
