Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners in Oklahoma is seeking a senior Patient Access leader to plan, develop, and manage our hospital-based department. You will coach staff in admitting, registration, and financial services while driving performance and regulatory compliance.

Lead short- and long-term initiatives to improve service quality and data integrity, align processes with corporate policies, and oversee staffing, reporting, and daily operations at acute care sites to optimize revenue cycle results.

Qualifications

  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification.
  • Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) certification.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in healthcare management/administration.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of management experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance or call center preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (must).
  • Ability to balance numerous priorities and prioritize effectively.
  • Advanced computer skills and ability to work with IT to meet technological needs.
  • Demonstrated advanced usage of AI and management of teams using AI to improve processes, including AI experimentation and application.

This position pays between $63,100 - $94,650 per year based on experience and is an on-site role. Candidates must be able to work on-site at the hospital.


Responsibilities


  • Plan, develop, organize, and manage the Patient Access department, ensuring performance and effectiveness.

  • Coach and develop all staff performing admitting, registration, and financial services functions.

  • Implement short- and long-term plans to improve customer service and collect quality information.

  • Provide leadership and contribute to revenue cycle and organizational goals while meeting regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Work closely with the Director of Patient Access to align processes and procedures with Ensemble Health Partners policies at an assigned facility or market.

  • Directly manage admitting, registration, and financial services operations at the acute care locations, including MRN assignment, medical necessity/compliance checks, patient instructions, insurance information collection, physician order processing, and finance compliance.

  • Manage financial service representatives, ensuring proper accounting processes, balanced cash drawers, timely deposits, accurate postings to patient accounts, and completion of required logs.

  • Develop and manage departmental staffing needs and prepare monthly reports.

  • Establish departmental goals with staff to optimize performance, meet organizational and financial objectives, and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate employee work schedules to provide adequate daily staffing coverage.

  • Collect, interpret, and communicate performance data using various tools and systems to make decisions toward performance goals.

  • Work with internal and external customers to make key decisions impacting the organization or individual patients.

  • Collaborate with ancillary departments to maintain positive relations and achieve revenue cycle goals.

  • Assist in the development of dyad-reporting patient access staff.

  • Provide training, education, goal-setting, and performance interventions to ensure adequate performance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
