Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or higher with either four years of relevant experience in manufacturing or military service or two years’ experience in a direct Good Manufacturing Practice, biotechnology manufacturing setting with demonstrated leadership skills or High School Diploma/GED with six years of relevant experience in manufacturing or military service

  • First line supervisor with a team of individual contributor Union production direct reports
  • Ensure that Shift(s) objectives are achieved while reliably supplying quality product at a competitive cost
  • Tactical and strategic Shift(s) management, including collaboration with indirect staff
  • Promote the behaviors and principles that drive continuous improvement
  • Typically, coordinates and supervises the daily activities of individual contributors
  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors
  • Decisions are guided by policies

As an Operations Manager you will be in a critical position to the organization with direct impact on our Company vision to make a difference in the lives of people globally. In this role you will be a Leader in the production areas that drives the execution of production objectives, while creating an inclusive culture that energizes a Safety First, Quality Always, with a continuous improvement mindset. You will also have the ability to direct, coordinate, and counsel cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Technical Services, Planning, Global Functions and other areas to assure optimal quality and quantity of finished products.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree or higher with either four years of relevant experience in manufacturing or military service or two years’ experience in a direct Good Manufacturing Practice , biotechnology manufacturing setting with demonstrated leadership skills or High School Diploma/GED with six years of relevant experience in manufacturing or military service
Preferred Experience:
  • Record of safely and effectively leading teams in the manufacturing of high-quality product
  • Consistent demonstration of strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, teamwork, technical, and problem-solving skills to motivate direct reports and peers to excel and “own” the process
  • Lean, Six Sigma problem solving skills coupled with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to prioritize, focus on and obtain business results
  • Principled and effective communication and organizational skills
  • Technical writing related to procedures and investigations
  • SAP, MES and DeltaV
Shift and Hours:
  • Must be able to work 2nd, 3rd or a rotating shift, which may include weekends. This site operates on a 24/7 schedule.

The salary range for this role is

$96,200.00 - $151,400.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
