Job summary

Venture Global LNG is seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily operations and maintenance at the Plaquemines facility. You will work closely with Directors to optimize LNG production, ensure safety, and manage budgets.

The role requires extensive LNG/petrochemical operations experience, strong leadership, and a proven ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a complex plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, or related).
• 5+ years of industry-related operations experience.
• Extensive LNG or petrochemical operations experience.
• Experience with GE 7EA/A200 STG configurations is a plus.
• TWIC card and valid driver’s license required.

Summary

The Operations Manager plays a crucial leadership role in our organization and reports directly to the Director of Operationsand willbe responsible forensuring the safe and effective operationofVentureGlobal’sproduction unitsthrough daily operations and maintenance activities.This role demands collaboration with othersupervisors,managers, anddirectors within the Operations and Maintenance departments tooptimizeLNG production at the facility.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Operations in executing strategicobjectivesand managing variousoperations programs and initiatives to achieve the organization’s goals.

• Assistsuperintendents with tactical activities, including operational and personnel management tasks as well as other functions as directed.

• Foster collaboration with a variety of stakeholders, including staff, community partners, and funding agencies.

• Develop and implement processes and structures in alignment with the evolvingoperations framework.

• Promote and drive a strong safety culture across the team, ensuring operational ownership, accountability, and discipline.

• Formulate policies, set departmentalobjectives, and evaluate program outcomes.

• Lead special projects andfacilitatestaff development initiatives.

• Represent the organization at community events and meetings.

• Operationalefficiency: Overseeing andoptimizingall aspects of the LNG process, from natural gas intake to LNG loading and shipping.

• Ensuring adherence to strict safety protocols and regulations, including process safety and emergency response procedures. Heavily involved in the management of programs includingcarseals,bypassesandmanagementofchange. Provides leadership inemergencysituations asrequired.

• Managing and mentoring a team of process operators, technicians, and other personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance.

• Identifyingand implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall plant performance. Ensures monthly and annual operating plans, as defined byoperationalKPIsare achieved by the team.

• Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and industry standards,maintainingaccuraterecords, and preparing reports asrequired.

• Supporting the development of and managing the operational budget for the LNG plant, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.

• Quicklyidentifyingand resolving operational issues, ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations.

• Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including management, regulatory agencies, and customers.

• Manage operational continuity and minimize downtime during periods of planned and unplanned maintenance activities.

Required experience

• Extensive experience in LNG or other petrochemical operations, with a strong understanding of process control, safety, and regulatory requirements.

• Experience in operations of CCGTs, preferably with GE 7EA and A200 STG configurations.Additional CC configurations and Air-Cooled Condensers (ACCs) experiencealsoa plus. Commissioning, startup and operations inoil &gas, petrochemical, orindependentpowerproducer (IPP) facility along with internal electrical distribution systems.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, or related field)andfive (5)+yearsindustry related operations experience orten (10)+yearsindustry related operations experience.

Licensing & Certifications

• Mustmaintaina Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card ingood standing status.

• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing.

• Subject to drug & alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations or as required by Venture Global LNG.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, work at height above ground on stairs and catwalks, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear, smell, type and write.

• Must be able to board a ship via a gangway, climb to the top of a tank (200+ steps), scale vertical steel ladder up to forty feet or more in height and lift and move objects weighting up to 30 pounds.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work indoors & outdoors, and be exposed to year-roundweather conditions, ocean environment, and noise.Therearea considerablenumberof outdoor activities involved.

• Specific vision abilitiesrequiredinclude close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperception,and the ability to adjust focus.

• Required to pass regularly scheduled physical examinations mandated by regulatory authorities.

• Required to obtain mandated certification by attendingcompany-sponsored training in basic first aid, CPR, AED & LNG firefighting.
