Job summary

LANXESS is seeking an experienced logistics professional to serve as the primary interface among Customer Service, IBP, GPL, transport providers, carriers, distribution centers and manufacturing sites. You will manage escalations, rate requests, monitor key lanes, and drive OTIF and cost‑saving initiatives across transportation and external warehousing.

With 10+ years in Supply Chain and strong SAP background, you will lead cross‑functional projects and improve service levels in a hybrid on‑site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 10+ years in Supply Chain, Logistics/Transportation Management and Distribution.
• Familiarity with transport markets, carrier operations, warehouse operations, 3PL management.
• Analytics and cost optimization with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with SAP Order to Cash and TM processes.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Hybrid role with on-site presence required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary operational interface between Customer Service, IBP, Global Procurement/Logistics (GPL), transportation service providers, carriers, distribution centers, and manufacturing locations.
• Manage escalations, transportation rate requests, monitor high volume/key lanes, ensure transportation master data is accurate and aligned with operational requirements, identify poor service providers and escalate to GPL to improve delivery performance and customer service.
• Lead Strategic Projects, Cost Management, and Supply Chain Excellence initiatives in transportation and external warehousing.
• Lead OTIF performance related to transport or 3rd party service providers to identify and initiate improvement activities, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance supply continuity, distribution performance, and customer service.
• Serve as the Lubricant Additives Business Units (BU's) operational interface to external warehouses, resolving day-to-day issues and escalations and feeding performance findings and improvement requirements into GPL.

Experience / Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in the area of Supply Chain, Logistics/Transportation Management and Distribution Network.


• Familiarity with transport markets and carrier operations, warehouse operations and 3PL management.


• Supply Chain and KPI analytics and continuous improvement and freight cost analysis and optimization with cross-functional stakeholder management.


• Familiarity with SAP Order to Cash and TM processes.


• Ability to travel as needed.


• This is a HYBRID role with an on-site presence required.

Please note, the actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
