Job summary

McKesson is seeking a senior Clinical Pharmacy Manager to oversee clinical pharmacy services within The US Oncology Network as part of the ClinReview program. You will supervise ClinReview pharmacists, manage workload and quality, and partner with practices and McKesson teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective pharmacy services.

The role requires 6+ years in oncology pharmacy, 1+ year leadership, active pharmacist license, and strong evidence-based content development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop ClinReview pharmacists, including performance management, career development, and onboarding.
  • Manage workload, staffing, coverage, priorities, escalations, and day-to-day operations for the assigned team.
  • Maintain clinical quality and consistency through clear standards, case review, calibration, and appropriate escalation.
  • Monitor capacity, clinical interventions, quality findings, and stakeholder feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with program and practice leadership on drug-use strategies, patient safety, and medication-review or decision-support improvements.
  • As assigned, support Value Pathways reviews, physician-governance activities, and P&T priorities.
  • Support the development and maintenance of evidence-based oncology content, including protocols, clinical guidance, decision support, education, and implementation tools.
  • Translate relevant evidence, ClinReview findings, and practice needs into actionable recommendations and scalable improvements.
  • Coordinate assigned clinical or operational projects, including planning, cross-functional collaboration, implementation, and measurement.
  • Track and report relevant measures for team performance, clinical quality, and assigned content or projects.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, or discontinue low-value processes.

This position oversees clinical pharmacy services within The US Oncology Network practices as part of the ClinReview program. The role supervises and develops ClinReview pharmacists; manages workload, coverage, clinical quality, and program performance; and partners with practices, leadership, and McKesson teams to support high-quality, cost-effective pharmacy services that meet regulatory and quality requirements.

In addition, this position supports a portfolio of clinical content and cross-functional initiatives. Responsibilities may include Value Pathways support, protocol and clinical-tool development, physician-governance activities, and P&T support. The role connects insights from clinical pharmacy practice with scalable Network content, standards, workflows, and improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Minimum Requirement
  • Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 6+ years of professional experience and 0-2 years of supervisory experience.
Education
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
  • Post-doctorate residency training preferred.
  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) preferred.
Critical Skills
  • 6+ years of oncology pharmacy or related clinical healthcare experience.

  • Project coordination, prioritization, facilitation, and execution.
  • Ability to analyze clinical and operational data and translate findings into practical recommendations.
  • Clear communication with pharmacists, physicians, practice leaders, technical teams, and executives.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and virtual collaboration tools.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • Community oncology practice-development experience preferred.
  • Experience with P&T governance, clinical decision support, or protocol development preferred.
  • Remote-team management experience preferred.
  • Experience with performance reporting, process improvement, change management, or technology-enabled workflows preferred.
  • Understanding of managed-care trends, including step edits, prior authorization, and value-based reimbursement, is a plus.
  • Strong customer-service orientation, communication, critical thinking, organization, and follow-through.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$130,100 - $216,800

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
