AHEAD, a leader in digital transformation platforms, is seeking a Procurement Manager in Denver to lead a team of Procurement Specialists. The role combines hands-on order processing (≈70%) with people leadership (≈30%), focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and scalable execution to meet performance objectives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT procurement, strong leadership skills, and experience with quote-to-cash processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma; AA or above preferred.
• 2–5 years of people management experience.
• 5+ years IT purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in the VAR/Distribution space.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee procurement support for all of Ahead.
• Validate the accuracy of orders through Salesforce using customer and vendor quotes.
• Accurately order equipment from vendors using multiple portals and tools.
• Troubleshoot orders placed via API and with vendors.
• Ensure team members follow up on order confirmations and move opportunities to Vendor Accepted promptly.
• Support month/quarter/year end close activities.
• Handle or accelerate internal and external customer satisfaction issues as they arise.
• Identify areas for best-practices improvements and participate in onboarding and training of new hires.
• Maintain detailed documentation of procurement processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and developing a team of Procurement Specialists.

This role drives operational discipline, and data integrity, ensuring the team operates with accuracy, consistency, and scalable execution in support of Director and Sr Manager-level performance objectives. The Procurement Manager is accountable for team performance, workload balance, and continuous process improvement.

This is a player/coach role. The Procurement Manager is expected to allocate approximately 70% of time to moving orders through the procurement lifecycle, while dedicating 30% to people leadership, team development, and operational governance responsibilities. Managing their team to give our internal and external clients the best possible experience.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee Procurement support for all of Ahead:
  • Validate the accuracy of orders through Salesforce using customer and vendor quotes
  • Accurately order equipment from our vendors using many different portals and tools
  • Troubleshoot orders being placed via API and with vendors
  • Ensure team members are following up on order confirmations and moving opportunities to Vendor Accepted in a timely manner
  • Support AHEAD and Vendor/OEM EOM/EOQ/EOY activities to include being available to facilitate late and/or complex orders
  • Support Operational Close for AHEAD Month/Quarter/Year ends
• Handle or accelerate internal and external customer satisfaction issues as they arise
• Give input on hiring, participate in onboarding, and training Procurement new hires
• Identify areas of improvement of best practices for Procurement function in conjunction with Sr Manager of Procurement and other teams
• Participate in maintaining detailed documentation of all Procurement processes
• Other job duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Minimum Required – HS Diploma
• Preferred – AA or above
• 2-5 years of people management experience
• 5+ years IT purchasing/procurement experience preferably in the VAR/Distribution space

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Microsoft Office
• Salesforce and/or Netsuite preferred
• Proven people leadership and coaching capability
• Deep understanding of quote-to-cash lifecycle and booking compliance
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, sales-centric environments

Physical Requirements

$65,000 - $80,000 a year
