Job description

Overview

The Manager of Parking Strategy and Operations Innovation will lead the evolution of our parking portfolio through high-level consulting, smart technology deployment, and strategic innovation. This role sits at the intersection of business development, operations, and product leadership, responsible for turning long-range transitions and emerging parking technologies into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

Garage & Surface Lot Transitions & Strategic Consulting

  • Lead multi-year consulting engagements with property owners, developers, and municipalities, often before any operational handoff takes place.

  • Own the full lifecycle of garage transitions—from initial strategy and planning through equipment installation, staffing recommendations, pricing models, and go-live execution.

  • Architect and implement scalable systems to reduce manual overhead and increase reliability across enforcement and validation workflows.

  • Train and enable internal teams once processes are refined, with a focus on long-term operational stability and performance.

  • Act as a key player in identifying and closing new business opportunities tied to modern parking technologies and enhanced operational strategies.

Product and Technology Development

  • Serve as product lead for company-wide rollout of License Plate Recognition (LPR) enforcement—fixed and mobile—across gated, ungated, and hybrid parking environments.

  • Direct cross-functional integrations between Genetec Security Center and third-party providers (e.g., ParkMobile, The Hammer, ParkEngage, T2, SpotHero, Parkpliant, etc.) for seamless enforcement, payment, and customer validation flows.

  • Oversee the strategic deployment of LPR vehicles, gate logic, and enforcement automation across surface lots and garages.

  • Develop and enhance internal platforms (PPS Validation Portals, Client Portals, Mobile Apps) that support residents, commercial clients, and enforcement personnel.

  • Maintain forward-looking market knowledge to evolve products in step with industry trends (e.g., contactless payments, AI-driven enforcement, sustainability initiatives).

  • Drive internal adoption and client engagement.

Project Ownership & Team Enablement

  • Architect and implement scalable systems to reduce manual overhead and increase reliability across enforcement and validation workflows.

  • Serve as internal expert for training, process documentation, and operational handoffs once systems are stable.

  • Position the company as a market leader against major competitors through differentiated product offerings, advanced LPR enforcement systems, and client-forward consulting.

  • Direct the planning and execution of complex deployments, including gates, cameras, enforcement automation, and software interfaces.

  • Act as the subject-matter expert across enforcement, validation, payment systems, and aggregator integrations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in parking operations, consulting, or smart mobility, with proven experience leading multi-year, high-complexity projects.

  • Proven success managing large-scale infrastructure projects, garage transitions, or enforcement systems.

  • Deep knowledge of LPR enforcement systems, gated/ungated parking models, and integration architecture (especially API-based platforms).

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate vision into execution across internal and external teams.

  • Strong technical acumen; comfort managing cross-platform software and hardware deployments.

  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to build structure around ambiguity.

Additional Requirements

  • This position may require travel to client sites, industry events, and meetings.

  • The role may require occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate client schedules or industry events.

  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to oversee new operations and scout new locations.
