Job summary

TheCorporate LLC is seeking a Manager of Network Services in the Washington, DC area or 100% remote from approved U.S. locations.

This senior role leads a global network engineering/operations team, driving modernization with SASE, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, and automation while ensuring 24x7 availability across LAN, WAN, wireless, cloud networking, and security domains. Ideal candidates have extensive Cisco routing/switching experience, strong security skills, and a proven track record managing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years leading network engineering and operations teams.
  • Experience supporting a global, 24x7 enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing geographically distributed technical teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco routing and switching (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, VLANs, QoS, TCP/IP).
  • Experience with SASE, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, and secure remote access.
  • Strong knowledge of network security technologies (VPNs, firewalls, NAC, IDS/IPS).
  • Experience with cloud networking, wireless networking, and internet edge infrastructure.
  • Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Red Hat Ansible).
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, capacity planning, and governance.
  • Strong PM, communication, problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Network Engineers.
  • Manage team workload, staffing, performance, training, and on-call schedules.
  • Oversee design, implementation, maintenance, and support of global LAN/WAN, wireless, voice, cloud networking, internet edge, and network security services.
  • Establish and maintain network policies, procedures, standards, and documentation.
  • Ensure change management, maintenance, disaster recovery, and security compliance.
  • Lead modernization initiatives (SASE, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, automation, security).
  • Review and approve network designs, implementation plans, and standards.
  • Manage hardware lifecycle, capacity, availability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with Security, Compliance, Systems, and IT leadership.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to plan and deliver projects.
  • Develop operational metrics and reporting on network availability and performance.
  • Facilitate operational meetings and strategy discussions.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Manager of Network Services to lead a global network engineering, operations, and architecture function for an international law firm.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a strong network professional who combines advanced Cisco networking expertise, network security knowledge, modern networking technologies, and proven people leadership . The ideal candidate will have experience supporting a complex, global, 24x7 enterprise environment, preferably within a law firm, financial services organization, or other highly regulated environment.

Work Location
  • Washington, DC: Hybrid schedule, 3 days onsite per week
  • Approved remote U.S. locations: 100% remote
  • Additional approved remote office locations may include New York, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, and other firm-approved U.S. locations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Network Engineers.
  • Manage team workload, staffing, performance, training, and on-call schedules.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of global LAN, WAN, wireless, voice, cloud networking, internet edge, and network security services.
  • Establish and maintain network policies, procedures, standards, documentation, and operational controls.
  • Ensure compliance with change management, maintenance, disaster recovery, business continuity, security, and documentation requirements.
  • Lead network modernization initiatives involving SASE, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, cloud networking, automation, and security enhancements.
  • Review and approve network designs, implementation plans, and infrastructure standards.
  • Manage network hardware lifecycle, capacity planning, availability, and performance optimization.
  • Partner with Information Security, Compliance, Systems Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications, Service Desk, and Technical Architecture teams.
  • Coordinate with IT leadership, project managers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are properly planned and delivered.
  • Develop operational metrics and reporting around network availability, performance, service delivery, and improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate operational meetings, service reviews, and technical strategy discussions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

  • 5+ years of experience leading network engineering and operations teams.

  • Experience supporting a global, 24x7 enterprise environment.

  • Demonstrated experience managing geographically distributed technical teams.

  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies, including:

  • BGP

  • OSPF

  • EIGRP

  • VLANs

  • QoS

  • TCP/IP

  • Experience with SASE, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, and secure remote access.

  • Strong knowledge of network security technologies, including:

  • VPNs

  • Firewalls

  • NAC

  • IDS/IPS

  • Secure remote-access solutions

  • Experience with cloud networking, wireless networking, internet edge infrastructure, high-availability design, and network monitoring/performance-management platforms.

  • Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform or comparable network automation tools.

  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, capacity planning, and operational governance.

  • Strong project management, communication, problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a law firm or legal environment.
  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
  • Cisco CCNP Enterprise, CCIE, or Cisco SD-WAN certification.
  • CISSP, CISM, or comparable security certification.
  • Prior experience managing IT services within a law firm.
Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidates will have a combination of:

Candidates with legal/law firm experience are strongly preferred , followed by candidates from financial services or other highly regulated environments.

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range is $166,400 to $210,000 annually.

Actual compensation will depend on qualifications, relevant experience, education, certifications, professional licenses, and work location.

The firm may also provide a discretionary annual bonus.
