Job summary

YMCA of Greater Rochester is seeking a Manager of Data, Analysis & Impact to build and deliver the data and analytical capabilities that help understand members, evaluate performance and inform decisions.

The role oversees data quality, develops data flows from core systems, and prepares data for analysis and reporting. You will work hands-on with SQL, Power BI, Power Automate, Excel and AI-enabled tools to publish reliable dashboards and support YMCA leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science or a related analytical field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years’ experience with structured data systems (CRM, POS, data warehouses).
• Seeks best practices, guidelines and industry standards to guide performance.
• Strong technical knowledge and organizational skills for high-level work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient using SQL, Power Query, Power Automate, Power BI, Excel and emerging AI tools to integrate data and publish reports.
• Proficient using Power BI or Tableau for data exploration, visualization and reporting.

The Manager of Data, Analysis & Impact builds and delivers the data and analytical capabilities to help the YMCA of Greater Rochester better understand its members, evaluate performance and make informed decisions.

This position oversees data quality and integrity, develops and maintains data flows from key business systems and prepares data for analysis and reporting. The Manager uses SQL, Power Automate, Power BI, Excel and embedded AI capabilities to combine data sources, automate recurring reports, create impactful analyses and publish reliable dashboards.

This position serves as both a hands‑on data practitioner and an Association‑wide resource. The Manager collaborates with functional leaders, process owners and system owners to understand business needs and deliver reliable, documented and sustainable data solutions. This position requires a commitment to delivering excellent service in alignment with the YMCA’s mission and core values.,

• Bachelor's degree in data science, information systems, computer science, statistics, mathematics, business, accounting or a related analytical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 3-5 years’ experience working with structured data systems like CRM platforms, POS systems or data warehouses.
• Seeks best practices, guidelines and industry standards to guide performance.
• Possess exceptional technical knowledge and organizational skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
