About the role

You will

• Support the full lifecycle of M&A transactions—from sourcing and assessment to due diligence and integration
• Conduct market and competitive research to find opportunities aligned with Duolingo’s strategic priorities
• Build financial models and perform valuation analyses for potential acquisitions
• Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, and legal teams during the evaluation and execution of deals
• Prepare investment memos and strategic presentations for senior leadership and Board audiences
• Assist in integration planning to ensure acquired businesses and teams are set up for success
• Contribute to strategic projects beyond M&A that influence company-wide direction

You have

• 2–4 years of relevant experience, such as in investment banking, management consulting, venture capital, or corporate development
• Experience with financial modeling, valuation, and market analysis
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to summarize findings and collaborate across teams
• A proactive and adaptable attitude, with comfort navigating ambiguous and evolving priorities

Exceptional candidates will have

• Experience supporting or executing M&A transactions in the consumer tech
• Familiarity with working closely alongside product and engineering teams
• Exposure to fast-paced, cross-functional environments where strategic thinking and execution are closely linked
• A demonstrated ability to connect company strategy with external market dynamics
