Job summary

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years revenue accounting related experience.
• Previous experience in leadership or supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Direct Costs: ensure owner paybacks are entered timely and accurately; apply operator invoices to prepayments; reconcile actual costs to quoted trip.
• Revenue Recognition: ensure compliance with ASC 606, contract liabilities, and related guidance.
• Accounts Receivable: review A/R aging and estimate allowances for credit losses.
• Reporting & Analytics: provide monthly financial reporting for revenue, expenses, and margins; monitor key metrics like DSO and aging.
• Process Improvement: identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices in accounting operations.
• Internal Controls: prepare and review key internal control procedures; ensure policy compliance.
• Collaboration: partner with Corporate, Client, and Charter Accounting to ensure data accuracy and deadlines.

# Manager of Charter AccountingSolairus AviationPetaluma, CA, USAtodayJob descriptionOverviewThe Manager of Charter Accounting will manage the end-to-end accounting process for the Charter line of business, ensuring accurate recognition of revenue in accordance with GAAP, booking month-end accruals, and reconciliation between the general ledger and the source system of record. This role involves regular reporting and analytics, reconciliations, and journal entries and other accounting functions as assigned.
