Job summary

SCA Health in Fort Walton Beach, FL is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead the Nursing Department, overseeing patient care from admission to discharge and coordinating care pathways to achieve outcomes. You will drive clinical quality, integrity and teamwork in a high‑acuity setting.

The role requires current Florida RN licensure, 2–3 years acute care or ASC experience, 3–5 years OR circulating, BLS, ACLS/PALS, CNOR preferred, and a BSN or higher.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the state of Florida.
• 2–3 years acute care or ASC experience preferred.
• 3–5 years OR circulating experience; leadership preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS certification.
• CNOR preferred.
• BSN or higher, nursing/Mgmt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, evaluates, and ensures the implementation of the patient's pathway to achieve identified outcomes
• Assumes a leadership role in the provision of quality nursing care for patients within the nursing department
• Demonstrates continued competence in assessing, treating, and caring for individuals based upon age-specific needs utilizing a developmental perspective
• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position
• Supervises the smooth functioning of the unit on assigned shift
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall functioning of the Nursing Department. As a Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting with the achievement of patient outcomes through implementation of critical pathways and in accordance with the mission of the hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Assesses, plans, evaluates, and ensures the implementation of the patient's pathway to achieve identified outcomes
• Assumes a leadership role in the provision of quality nursing care for patients receiving services within the nursing department
• Demonstrates continued competence in assessing, treating, and caring for individuals based upon age-specific needs utilizing a developmental perspective
• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position
• Supervises the smooth functioning of the unit on assigned shift
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Current Licensure in the State
• Two to three years of acute care OR or ASC OR experience preferred.
• 3–5 years of Operating Room circulating experience. In addition, prior leadership experience is strongly preferred.
• Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support Course.
• ACLS/PALS certification
• CNOR preferred
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and/or BSN, Master's degree in Nursing/Management preferred.
